The pre-conference course at Danish Institute for Medical Simulation (DIMS) will have team-training as it’s focus and will be a special version of our course for the Mobile Emergency Team consisting of ward-personnel and personnel from the Intensive Care Unit.

The aim will be to enhance communication, leadership and collaboration in the team of health-personnel surrounding the critically ill patient. The ABCDE approach to the patient will be demonstrated. The course will refresh some of the CRM principles applied to communication/teamwork, and the course participants will have the opportunity to try full-scale simulation and debriefing as a tool to reach the aims of the course.

Participation is possible (for a fee of 200 Euro) for those attending the RRS 2009 congress – but will be limited in number. Maximum 18.
Pre-course material will be sent electronically to the registered participants in advance of the course.
